Behavior Letter
Dear Families,
Hello! My name is Jasmine Brown, and I am so excited to work with you and your child this year. I believe that strong communication and positive relationships are the foundation of a successful classroom, and I look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s growth.
In our classroom, I believe that behavior is a skill that can be taught. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where all students feel valued and ready to learn. I focus on consistency, clear expectations, and helping students learn from their mistakes rather than simply punishing them.
To help students be successful, we will follow a few clear expectations each day:
-
Be respectful to others
-
Be responsible for your actions
-
Be ready to learn
-
Follow directions the first time
These expectations are taught, practiced, and reinforced regularly so students understand what success looks like.
Positive behavior will always be recognized in our classroom. Students may receive verbal praise, positive notes, or classroom incentives for meeting expectations. I also believe in celebrating growth, so students will be encouraged when they show improvement and effort. I will share positive updates with families so you can celebrate your child’s success as well.
If a student is struggling with behavior, my response will be calm, consistent, and focused on learning. I will reteach expectations, provide guidance, and support students in making better choices. Consequences will be fair and predictable, but the focus will always be on helping students grow and succeed.
Communication with families is very important to me. I will provide updates through messages and will reach out when needed. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions, concerns, or helpful insights about your child. We are a team, and your input matters.
Thank you for trusting me with your child. I look forward to a great year of learning, growth, and success together.
Sincerely,
Jasmine Brown
